Blizzard of 2009

Well, it's December in Iowa. . . . That means that for weeks we had warm weather (unseasonal for us) and then in a matter of a week we got SNOW!! Our first big snow. We had snow in October, but that snow was really just a dusting (in fact it was during my garage sale, so it was just plain annoying ;) ) But anyways, back to now. We got our first big snow, and I mean BIG. NOAA called it an "Epic Blizzard". And depending on where we are, it was 14-18 inches of snow. Because we knew that the interstate would be rough for Brian to travel it was decided that he would stay with his mom, because I didn't want to be snowed in by myself with four kids, the kids and I stayed too!! (so glad they didn't mind).
Brian actually ended up getting some time off, on Tuesday they closed early, and then stayed closed on Wenesday. We would have been able to stay home after all, but this worked.
The kids had a blast of course. I also think that I'm glad we don't have cable connected, I think that it would get really easy to watch a lot of tv, or put the kids in front of the tv alot.
I'm 14 1/2 weeks pregnant now with baby 5, and finally starting to feel a little more human again. Still fighting morning sickness (or rather all day andnight sickness) a lot, but it isn't near like it was even last week.
I'm going to try to figure out how to out how to post pictures, and show you what we've done the last few days.
ahaa!! I got it!!

Mattathias and Grandpa Shoveling.

The walkway Mattathias and Nathanael shoveled yesterday.
Gabriella sledding (I'm not too much for the cold, so I hid inside and took this picture) She had lots of fun!!
